Overview
At the turn of the 20th century, everything was going smooth. We had Newton’s laws to explain the motion of objects around us, Kepler’s laws to explain the planetary motion, we could explain the waves on strings, the ripples in the pond, and we had even derived the relationship between electricity and magnetism. But when we think we know everything, nature throws us new problems and questions.
The first problem came in the form of a black body spectrum. In this video, I have explained what is a black body, the black body radiation, and how classical physics led to a catastrophe known as the ultraviolet catastrophe.
